Consider the following. All of the "heroes of the Russian spring", separatist commanders in Donetsk were later cleansed by Russia. Kremlin killed every single of them, even those who left to Russia. Yes, they were kinda useful but too chaotic and unruly from Kremlin's perspective

In 2014 Donetsk interest group lost massively. They chose to welcome the Russian involvement. A dog was losing in a fight and called for the wolves to help. As a result, the Donetsk group not only lost everything but the Donbass itself turned into the country of depopulated ruins

Two-Face: Now, we need money from the filthiest, richest pieces of shit the world has to offer. Carmine Falcone, Ra's Al Ghul... or, if we're really lucky, Henry Kissinger!

Jim Gordon: That monster isn't dead yet? God really doesn't exist.

OH MY LORD. 🤣🤣😭😭😭

Reporting from David Patrikarakos on the Russian occupation of Kherson.

To my friends in the fandom, I am sad to say that @peppercoyote, a former friend of mine for over a decade, has put himself in league with transphobia, homophobia, nationalism, and the red-brown alliance known as Center for Political Innovation, or CPI. Please read this thread:

Russian record in Ukraine is typical. It's just a common Russian way of waging wars, not much different from what we've seen in Syria or Chechnya. Mariupol shared the fate of Aleppo and Grozny. Ukrainians suffer in Russian hands much like Syrians did

Cut off head and hands of a Ukrainian POW put on stakes in the Russian-occupied Popasna very much resemble the Syrian war scenes. This behaviour is so typical for the Russian military that I have no idea why the world had ignored it before. Good thing they finally noticed

@amnesty @amnesty report reminds me of the old maxim:

"If you are being raped, just relax and enjoy"

I disagree. I would insist that the victim has the absolute right and in this case even the moral obligation for self defence, whatever the ultra-privileged may preach. End of🧵

Ukraine’s preparations for the counter-offensive in Kherson and the initial operations in that counter-offensive combined with the dramatic weakening of Russian forces generally appear to be allowing Ukraine to begin actively shaping the course of the war for the first time. /7

Last time @amnesty wrote about Kharkiv was in June. That’s the city that gets shelled *every* *single* *day*. Not a word about Mykolaiv — a ~500.000 people city under everyday Russian shellings. It’s also been w/o running water for 114 days cause of it. Nothing.

#BREAKING THREAD Head of Amnesty Ukraine @OPokalchuk says, that today's report by @amnesty was NOT prepared by Amnesty UKR. Further scandalous facts:
1) Data used by Amnesty Intl did not come not from Amnesty Ukraine, but from some international researchers (obviously parachuted)
